Former Eintracht Frankfurt player Martin Fenin transitions to MMA

Former Bundesliga striker Martin Fenin is set to make his debut in mixed martial arts (MMA). The 39-year-old, who played for Eintracht Frankfurt between 2008 and 2011, will compete in the 84 kg division this Saturday at the Eisstadion in Usti nad Labem.

Fenin has been open about his personal struggles following the end of his professional football career, including alcohol addiction and depression. He has undergone three months of preparation for this fight, training six times a week.

His opponent is Martin Kocian, a former singer from the Czech boy band Lunetic. The match is framed as a significant step in Fenin's attempt to rebuild his life after a period of personal instability.
