Former executive arrested for assaulting disabled worker

A former executive in his 60s has been arrested for the sexual assault of a woman in her 20s with an intellectual disability. The suspect, an executive at an industrial laundry company that serves as a standard workplace for the disabled, is accused of multiple assaults against the employee.

The victim reportedly became pregnant and gave birth to the suspect's child as a result of the abuse. While the suspect has claimed the sexual encounters were consensual, the Incheon District Court issued an arrest warrant citing concerns regarding the destruction of evidence and the risk of flight.

The company in question is a government-supported facility designed to employ individuals with disabilities. Following the incident, the suspect was dismissed from his position. Local advocacy groups have held press conferences calling for severe punishment, noting that the victim's life has been devastated by the assault and subsequent pregnancy.
