Former goalkeeper Kevin Miller dies aged 57
Former professional goalkeeper and current Wigan Athletic coach Kevin Miller has died unexpectedly at the age of 57. Miller reportedly passed away in his sleep on Tuesday night.
Miller had recently joined Wigan Athletic in June to serve as the first-team goalkeeping coach, reuniting with manager Gary Caldwell. His professional playing career included stints at several English clubs, most notably Exeter City, where he made 209 appearances, as well as Watford, Crystal Palace, Barnsley, Birmingham City, Bristol Rovers, and Southampton.
Following his professional retirement, Miller played for Bodmin Town in the South Western League. Tributes have been paid by his former clubs and colleagues, describing him as a respected professional, a dedicated coach, and a significant figure in the football community.
