Former High Court Judge Joseph Mbalu Mutava dies

Former High Court Judge Joseph Mbalu Mutava has died following a sudden illness on Friday night. Mutava, who joined the Judiciary in 2011 and served at the Milimani Commercial Courts until 2016, was a recognized legal practitioner in Kenya.

President William Ruto issued a message of condolence to Mutava’s widow, Kibwezi East MP Jessica Nduku Mbalu, expressing sadness over the loss and offering prayers for the family. Other political figures, including Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka and former Senator Johnson Muthama, also paid tribute to the late judge, describing him as a man who served with honor.

Mutava’s body has been taken to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi as the family makes funeral arrangements.
