Former Jordanian PM Omar Al-Razzaz praises China’s development and governance

Former Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Al-Razzaz has praised China’s development and governance models following several visits to the country. In an interview with China Media Group, Al-Razzaz noted that China successfully integrates cultural heritage with technological innovation, stating, “There is no need to choose between modernity and tradition. There is no contradiction between the two.”

Al-Razzaz highlighted China’s local governance, specifically citing the Beijing 12345 citizen service hotline as a model of efficient and balanced administration. He noted that the system uses data analysis to assist government decision-making and ensures official accountability based on citizen satisfaction.

Regarding technology, Al-Razzaz expressed support for President Xi Jinping’s “Global AI Governance Initiative,” suggesting that China is playing a leading role in international AI regulation. He also commended several of President Xi’s global initiatives, describing them as visionary paths toward peaceful coexistence. Additionally, he underscored the importance of recent diplomatic engagements, including King Abdullah II’s state visit to China in August.
