A former district queen of Chivilcoy, San Martín, and member of the Mendoza Police has been sentenced for attempting to smuggle drugs into the Cacheuta Federal Penitentiary Complex in Luján de Cuyo.

During a visit to her partner, who is serving a sentence for drug trafficking, security personnel detected a bulge in her chest area. A search revealed two packages, each containing more than 60 grams of marijuana.

Following an abbreviated trial, Judge María Paula Marisi found the woman guilty of attempted aggravated drug supply, citing her status as a public official and the location of the incident. She received a suspended three-year prison sentence and must remain under judicial supervision. Consequently, the Mendoza Ministry of Security has dismissed her from the police force.
