Former MLA Guddu Pandit accused of assaulting wife in Bulandshahr

Former MLA Shrivagwan Sharma, also known as Guddu Pandit, is facing allegations of physical assault against his wife, Congress leader Archana Panda, in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

According to Panda, the incident occurred on September 2 when Sharma arrived at their home and began forcefully knocking on the door. She alleges that upon opening the door, he pushed her to the floor, used abusive language, and subsequently dragged her by her hair. A video recorded by a domestic worker appears to show the altercation, during which Panda is seen attempting to defend herself.

Panda has filed a formal police complaint, requesting legal action and protection for herself and her son, citing ongoing threats from the former legislator and his family. She has specifically requested the provision of female police officers for her security.

Bulandshahr police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the allegations and the viral video. In response to the accusations, Guddu Pandit has claimed on social media that the video being circulated is old.
