Former Mossad chief reveals frequent visits to Iran's Fordo nuclear site

Yossi Cohen, the former director of the Mossad from 2016 to 2021, has revealed that Israeli intelligence agents visited the Fordo nuclear facility in Iran on multiple occasions. According to Cohen, these visits were conducted to gain a better understanding of the facility's infrastructure.

Cohen made these statements during a conference with local officials, though he did not specify the exact timing of the visits or the identities of the personnel involved. He described the subsequent American bombardment of the site as the “realization of all my dreams.”

The revelations follow a 12-day conflict in June 2025, during which Israel launched a war against Iran to weaken its nuclear and ballistic missile programs. During that conflict, United States forces participated briefly, utilizing advanced aircraft to strike nuclear sites at Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan.
