Former Mossad director David Barnea named CEO of US defense firm Ondas

David Barnea, who led Israel's Mossad intelligence service from 2021 until June 2, has been appointed global chairman and board chair of Ondas, a United States‑based defense‑technology company. Ondas said Barnea will focus on expanding its UAV, autonomous defence, artificial‑intelligence, secure‑communication and precision‑strike capabilities across the Middle East, Europe and Asia markets.

In a written statement Barnea highlighted that operational superiority now depends on the integration of intelligence, AI, resilient communications, autonomous platforms and precise capabilities into a single coordinated environment. He expressed eagerness to work with Ondas on next‑generation, AI‑enabled defence systems amid the evolving nature of conflicts such as those in Ukraine and the Middle East.
