Former NSW police officer Brayden James Sharrock faces court for steroid dealing
Former New South Wales senior constable Brayden James Sharrock appeared in the Sydney District Court regarding charges of supplying and possessing prohibited drugs and restricted substances. Sharrock, 38, admitted to dealing steroids and testosterone while on sick leave for mental health and injury reasons in mid-2024.
During the proceedings, Sharrock expressed deep shame, stating he had ‘let everyone down’ and felt like a ‘loser’. He claimed his involvement began while he was contemplating suicide and researching substances for recovery. A search of his Wagga Wagga residence uncovered more than 130 vials labeled Ferrari Pharmaceuticals.
The prosecution questioned Sharrock regarding the use of encrypted mobile devices and whether he attempted to mislead investigators by providing conflicting PIN codes. While Sharrock argued the substances were largely for personal use and that messages regarding a ‘first customer’ were jokes, the court is reviewing the complexity of the case. Sentencing has been adjourned to late November.
