Former OGTV broadcaster Olakitan Oyesiku murdered in Ogun State; suspects arrested
Retired Ogun State Television broadcaster Olakitan Oyesiku and her security guard Pelumi Adetayo were found dead at Oyesiku's Owode‑Egba residence on 21 June. A handwritten note left at the scene provided forensic leads that helped police recover Oyesiku's missing Lexus RX 330 and identify three suspects.
Police arrested 22‑year‑old Sodeinde Olajuwon Philip, who confessed to recruiting two accomplices – 27‑year‑old security guard Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola and 36‑year‑old bricklayer Sobu Obafunsho – to carry out the attack. Philip said the murder was motivated by personal grievances from his time as Oyesiku's guard and was intended to “teach her a lesson.” The suspects fled with the vehicle, which was later retrieved in Onikolobo, Ogun State. All three are now in custody pending prosecution.
