Former Penticton Vees linemates reunite in NHL

Former Penticton Vees teammates Bradly Nadeau and Aydar Suniev reunited on NHL ice on October 18 at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Nadeau, playing for the Carolina Hurricanes, faced Suniev and the Calgary Flames in a matchup that ended in a 3-2 victory for Calgary.

Both players were standout stars for the Penticton Vees in the BCHL, contributing to back-to-back Fred Page Cup titles. During the 2022-23 season, Nadeau recorded 113 points in 54 games and was named the BCHL MVP, while Suniev recorded 90 points in 50 games.

Following their selection in the 2023 NHL draft, both players spent time in the American Hockey League before receiving opportunities in the NHL this season. Nadeau was called up to Carolina due to an injury to Jordan Staal and has recorded two assists in three games. Suniev recently scored his first career NHL goal and has accumulated three points in five games.
