Former Red Star striker Abiola Dauda shares Belgrade mishaps

Former Red Star Belgrade forward Abiola Dauda recounted two separate incidents from his time in Serbia. In one episode he was struck by a man who deliberately collided with his rental car on a Belgrade highway, then gave false contact details, leaving Dauda to cover the damage. After reporting the incident to the club’s security, Dauda later encountered the same individual nearby and recovered the money he had lost.

Dauda also described a later offer from rival club Partizan, whose fan proposed a bet that would have given Dauda free meals for a season if Red Star won, but required him to hand over his Red Star jersey if they lost. After Partizan’s victory, Dauda declined a subsequent invitation to join Partizan, saying he could not wear the black‑white kit because he already wore the red‑white of his former club.
