Former THP Bina manager charged with RM72,000 breach of trust
Nasahruddin Ahmad, 56, a former Health and Safety Manager for THP Bina Sdn Bhd, has been charged in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court with three counts of criminal breach of trust. The charges involve the misappropriation of RM72,000 in penalty collections related to an office complex development project in Putrajaya.
THP Bina Sdn Bhd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of TH Properties Sdn Bhd, which in turn is a subsidiary of Lembaga Tabung Haji. The accused allegedly transferred the penalty funds, collected from contractor Fourth Wave Sdn Bhd, into his personal account. The incidents are alleged to have occurred between April 26, 2013, and August 12, 2015, at the Putrajaya Islamic Complex.
Nasahruddin pleaded not guilty before Judge Rosli Ahmad. He faces charges under Section 409 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, whipping, and a fine if convicted.
