Former Turkish local mayors Adem Demircioğlu and Kerim Ertekin pass away

Former local government leaders Adem Demircioğlu and Kerim Ertekin have passed away.

Adem Demircioğlu, a former Mayor of Ereğli in Konya, died leaving a significant impact on the region's social and physical development. Following his death, Ereğli Mayor Umut Akpınar issued a condolence message, noting that Demircioğlu's services to the community would be remembered with respect.

Kerim Ertekin, who served as the Mayor of Cikcilli from 1999 to 2014, has also passed away after receiving treatment at Başkent Hospital. Following the administrative restructuring in Antalya that transitioned Cikcilli from a municipality to a neighborhood of Alanya, Ertekin continued his involvement in local governance as a deputy chair of the Alanya Municipal Council and a member of the Plan and Budget Commission.
