Former WWE Champion Expected to Debut at TNA Slammiversary in Boston

A former WWE Intercontinental Champion is reported to be making his debut for Impact Wrestling (formerly TNA) at the company's Slammiversary pay‑per‑view, scheduled for this weekend at the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. The announcement, cited by PWInsider, did not name the wrestler, though fans suspect it could be Apollo Crews, who was released by WWE in April and may have completed his 90‑day non‑compete clause.

The event will run earlier on the same night as AEW's Forbidden Door, and it comes amid ongoing controversy at Impact, including recent releases of several longtime performers. Former wrestling executive Eric Bischoff warned that Impact is “one step closer to the grave,” citing financial struggles and past management failures.
