Formia inaugurates Case Vitruviane circular architecture structures
The municipality of Formia and the Department of Architecture at Roma Tre University have inaugurated the ‘Case Vitruviane’ at the Formia-Gaeta railway station square. These temporary structures are the result of a two-year collaboration focused on circular architecture and the regeneration of public spaces.
The project utilized materials recovered from reuse supply chains, which were subsequently transformed using digital fabrication machinery at the university's laboratory. The initiative is part of the Vitruviano Festival 2025-2026 and involves various stakeholders, including local schools, university students, and citizens.
The inauguration ceremony included Formia Mayor Gianluca Taddeo, local councilors, and academic representatives. The project aims to bridge university research and technological innovation with practical urban sustainability and community engagement.
