Formia police arrest man for heroin possession

A man of Tunisian origin has been arrested in Formia, Italy, after being found in possession of 150 grams of heroin. The discovery was made by a specialized canine unit of the Guardia di Finanza during summer monitoring operations near the Villa Comunale.

The seized drugs were estimated to have a market value of approximately 6,000 euros. In addition to the narcotics, authorities seized cash and two electronic devices, which have been placed under precautionary seizure. The suspect, who has a prior criminal record, was taken to the Cassino prison following the validation of his arrest by a judge.

During the same operation, three Italian adults were reported to the relevant authorities for possession of smaller quantities of hashish, marijuana, and cocaine.
