Formiga to debut as Icon in EA Sports FC 27

Brazilian football legend Formiga will debut in EA Sports FC 27 as an Icon card. The former midfielder, who is the only player in history to compete in seven World Cups, will be featured with two different ratings: an 86 and a 90. The 90-rated 'Champion' version will utilize an image of her celebrating a goal during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

EA Sports described Formiga as a symbol of dedication whose longevity and competitiveness inspired generations of athletes. Her career with the Brazilian national team spanned from 1995 to 2021, including two Olympic silver medals and a runner-up finish in the 2007 World Cup.

Formiga is part of the 'Class of 2027' debutants, which includes other international figures such as Raphaël Varane, Tobin Heath, and Pepe. Players who purchase the Ultimate Edition of the game during the pre-sale will receive one of the 18 mentioned athletes for Ultimate Team mode.
