Formigine begins renovation of Bora football field

Renovation works have officially begun at the Bora football field in Formigine to modernize the facility for approximately 600 weekly athletes. The project involves replacing the natural grass with a cutting-edge, fully recyclable artificial turf that uses 100% natural and vegetable infill, free from plastics and micro-rubbers.

The field will be expanded from 53 to 60 meters in width to meet safety regulations and qualify for official matches up to the ‘Eccellenza’ category. Additional upgrades include high-efficiency LED lighting towers, new perimeter fencing, updated sports equipment, and an automated irrigation system with a 10.7 m³ underground storage tank.

Costing approximately 800,000 euros, the project aims to complete by the end of the year. The works also include sustainable soil reuse to improve an adjacent public park and the removal of architectural barriers to improve accessibility.
