Formnext 2026 to focus on industrial additive manufacturing in Frankfurt

The Formnext trade fair is scheduled to take place in Frankfurt from November 17 to 20, 2026. The event aims to focus on the industrial applications of additive manufacturing (AM), moving beyond simple component printing toward integration into qualified, economically viable mass production processes.

Organizers expect approximately 800 exhibitors to showcase technologies spanning the entire value chain, including printing systems, materials, and post-processing. The event is designed to address current market needs for flexible production, resilient supply chains, and scalable business models. Key growth sectors identified include aerospace, defense, energy, medical technology, and the semiconductor industry.

The program will feature specialized segments such as an Industry & Application Stage, a Technology Stage, a Defence Summit, and a post-processing special exhibition. Additionally, an Innovation and Standards Summit organized by ASTM International is planned for the day preceding the main event to address standardization and industrial implementation.
