Formosa constitutional reform and Mexican legislative shifts

In Argentina, legislator Rodrigo Vera defended the validity of the recent constitutional reform in Formosa. He addressed controversies regarding a transitory clause that counts the current governor and vice-governor's terms as their first period. Vera argued that the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation has declared competence to review the matter, asserting that the provincial constituent power has the right to define its own constitution.

In Mexico, Minister Lenia Batres faced opposition from colleagues after attempting to include unrelated topics, such as housing and environmental rights, into a draft sentence concerning water rights in Ecatepec. The legislative body voted to remove the contested paragraphs.

Additionally, political shifts are occurring in Mexico's legislature as deputies Hugo Eric Flores and Sergio Mayer have departed from the Morena party. Meanwhile, in Sinaloa, the local Business Council has called on lawmakers to select a successor for Governor Rubén Rocha who possesses the integrity and experience necessary to address security and economic stability.
