Formosa expands Provincial Hemotherapy Network to 33 units
The Provincial Hemotherapy Network in Formosa, Argentina, has expanded to 33 donation units, a significant increase from the 12 units available prior to 2023. Dr. Víctor Cambra, director of the Provincial Hemotherapy Center, stated that this growth reflects a strengthened public health system.
Recent efforts include a voluntary blood and platelet donation drive at the Eva Perón District Hospital in Ingeniero Juárez as part of the ‘Colectas Solidarias’ initiative. This expansion has incorporated three new units into the network. Additionally, technical equipment and supplies were distributed to the El Chorro Hospital and health centers in María Cristina and Lote 8 to bolster local sanitary services. Training sessions were also conducted to improve donor care services within the first sanitary district.
