Breast cancer awareness campaigns launch across Latin America and Spain

Various regions in Latin America and Spain are conducting extensive breast cancer awareness and prevention campaigns during October.

In Mexico, the DIF Tamaulipas system has provided medical attention to over 7,000 women, including the distribution of breast prostheses and specialized medical studies. In Colima, the municipal DIF concluded free mammography sessions, while in Tijuana, community events included cycling and walking tours to promote self-care. Additionally, the company SERPROSEP covered 100% of mammography costs for its female employees across Mexico to remove financial barriers to early detection.

In Argentina, the government of Formosa held community inclusion and awareness sessions in the El Porvenir neighborhood. Other local initiatives included a Zumba session in Tinogasta to promote healthy habits and a creative makeup demonstration in Goya to raise visibility for the cause.

In Spain, the municipality of La Roda held its traditional march with over 2,000 participants, and Elche is preparing its annual race and walk, which expects to draw 9,000 participants to support the association Amacmec.
