Formosa Governor issues decrees regulating notarial activity

The provincial executive power in Formosa, Argentina, has issued significant decrees regarding notarial activity. Governor Gildo Insfrán signed Decree No. 278, which formally approves the regulations for Law No. 1739. This law governs the exercise of the notarial function and the profession of notary public throughout the province.

The new regulations modernize the legal framework and include the titularization of ten previously adscripted notaries, nine of whom are located in Formosa and one in Laguna Blanca. Additionally, the measures establish the appointment of executive representatives to the Superintendency Tribunal, which will share oversight responsibilities with the Colegio de Escribanos.

Furthermore, the decrees announce calls for competitive examinations to fill vacancies in several locations, including Formosa Capital, Clorinda, Laguna Blanca, Las Lomitas, Ingeniero Juárez, Pirané, Ibarreta, and El Colorado. David Cuño, president of the Colegio de Escribanos, described the publication as a highly anticipated and excellent development for registered professionals.
