Formosa health officials hold tuberculosis awareness seminar in Namqom

Health officials in Formosa, Argentina, conducted an educational seminar on tuberculosis at the EPEP Nº 335 EIB primary school in the Namqom neighborhood. The initiative was part of a provincial health promotion and disease prevention campaign organized by the local health center and the Provincial Tuberculosis Program.

Dr. Walter Fuentes, head of the provincial program, led the sessions for students and teachers. He provided information regarding the transmission and symptoms of the disease, the necessity of the BCG vaccine for newborns, and the importance of early detection to prevent complications. Dr. Fuentes emphasized that the disease is highly curable if patients strictly adhere to their prescribed medication regimens. He also noted that the public health system in Formosa provides integral care, including diagnosis, treatment, and continuous follow-up for patients.
