Formosa health officials launch dengue prevention workshops in schools
Health specialists in Formosa are conducting a series of educational workshops in schools to strengthen dengue prevention. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Human Development’s Vector Control and Zoonosis area, aims to train students, teachers, and the broader educational community to act as information multipliers within their homes.
During recent sessions at various primary and secondary schools, instructors provided details on the physical characteristics, habitat, and life cycle of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The workshops also covered disease symptoms, warning signs, and the importance of seeking medical consultation rather than self-medicating. The provincial government continues to implement coordinated prevention strategies throughout the year to manage the disease across the territory.
