Formosa implements new education protocol for correctional facilities

Authorities in Formosa, Argentina, have implemented a new protocol to regulate education within correctional facilities. The announcement took place at the Provincial Penitentiary Unit (UPP) No. 1 in Formosa City.

The protocol aims to define and coordinate the actions required to carry out educational activities in confinement settings, facilitating cooperation between the penitentiary system and the Ministry of Culture and Education. During the event, officials also launched a second stage of literacy booklets covering Mathematics and Language, which were produced locally in Formosa.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture and Education, Julio Aráoz, and the Minister of Government, Justice, Security and Labor, Jorge Abel Gonzalez, alongside police authorities and representatives from the Department of Permanent Education.
