Formosa launches inclusion and gender training initiatives

The Municipality of Formosa has launched several social initiatives in Argentina, including the commencement of Inclusion Month and a new edition of the Municipal School of Popular Training in Gender.

Inclusion Month, organized by the Directorate of Disability, features a series of activities throughout October. The program highlights a decade of public policy work, including the implementation of adapted transport, sound-based traffic lights, inclusive playgrounds, and ordinances prohibiting loud pyrotechnics. The initiative aims to foster a city without barriers through continuous community engagement.

Simultaneously, the Municipal School of Popular Training in Gender has begun its latest session, focusing on the political participation of women. Since 2018, the program has certified over 250 community promoters who work within their neighborhoods to support vulnerable populations. The upcoming October curriculum includes sessions on mental health for older adults and the impact of artificial intelligence and gender bias in algorithms.
