Formosa leads Argentina in public school enrollment
Data from the Permanent Household Survey provided by INDEC indicates that during the first quarter of 2026, 65.9% of students up to age 18 in Argentina attended public educational institutions. The Formosa agglomeration recorded a significantly higher rate of 78.4%, placing it among the highest in the country for public school attendance.
Separately, reports from the Center for Argentine Economic Policy (CEPA) highlight a paralysis in the Water Infrastructure Fiduciary Fund (FFIH). Of the 24 projects initiated with FFIH financing, 15 have been canceled or suspended, while only one is marked as completed. This suspension affects 39.7% of the total portfolio, totaling 144 billion pesos, and impacts various provinces facing extreme weather events.
