Formosa leads NEA region in home and land ownership

Data from the INDEC Permanent Household Survey for the first quarter of 2026 indicates that 69.3% of households in the Formosa agglomeration own both their home and the land they inhabit. This figure is 7.5 percentage points higher than the national average of 61.8%.

According to an analysis by the consultancy Politiké, Formosa ranks seventh among all Argentine jurisdictions, third within the Norte Grande region, and first in the Northeast Argentina (NEA) region regarding property ownership. In contrast, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires recorded the lowest rate, with only 47.4% of households owning their residence and land, representing a difference of more than 20 percentage points between the two extremes.

The report also noted a decline in beef consumption, stating that per capita consumption in July 2026 reached its lowest level since 2005.
