Formosa North Coast Arts Festival leaves permanent installations
The 2026 Formosa North Coast Arts Festival, themed ‘Tide Song—Dance of Light and Fire,’ officially concluded on September 27. Organized by the North Coast and Guanyin Mountain National Scenic Area Administration, the event ran from July and utilized a cross-sector model to connect local communities, schools, and diverse social groups through interactive ecological technology and workshops.
To maintain local cultural and tourism momentum, organizers have selected five popular curated works to remain permanently at their original locations. These installations include ‘Pure Fire’ by Hsu Chun-hsiang, ‘Fourth Season Digital Torch’ by Chang Chung-wei and Cheng Kai-lun, and ‘Ripples of Each Other’ by Zabo at the Sanzhi Visitor Center. Additionally, ‘Sky Light’ by Tseng Chun-hao will remain at the Baishawan Visitor Center, and ‘Glimmer Stop—Warming Wait’ by Yang Hsiao-wei and co-creation artists will stay at the Laomei Bus Stop in the Shimen District.
The administration aims to integrate these artworks into the daily landscape of the North Coast, fostering local aesthetics and providing a continuous cultural experience for visitors during the autumn season.
