Formosa officials report 11 irregular land subdivisions
Rubén Duré, the Director of Cadastre and Fiscal Lands for the Municipality of Formosa, has reported that there are currently 11 irregular land subdivisions located at various points throughout the city.
According to Duré, the real estate projects known as ‘Ex Cecotto’ and ‘Jardines de San Antonio’ are among the most difficult to obtain parceling approval for. He noted that since the issue of unauthorized land sales became public approximately two months ago, most subdivisions have remained in a similar state without concrete administrative progress.
While the ‘Los Búfalos’ project in the Circuito Cinco area has made some progress by submitting feasibility plans to the municipality and utility providers, challenges remain. Duré clarified that his office can only approve the leveling of the site, as current ordinances require minimum lot sizes of 1,000 square meters in certain zones, whereas the developer has been selling plots of 300 square meters. Most of these irregular subdivisions must now undergo review by the Deliberative Council to determine if the lot measurements can be accepted.
