Formosa Ombudsman warns of fraudulent professional training courses
The Ombudsman's Office of Formosa has issued a warning to the public regarding private academies offering training courses with fraudulent professional certifications. The alert follows an increase in inquiries concerning educational proposals promoted on social media that promise rapid training and professional validity without official backing.
A specific case involves the “Academia Educativa Activa” (AEA) in Clorinda, which has been advertising a “Professional Course – Digital and Practical Surveying + AutoCAD.” Authorities noted that such offers often use names, designs, and websites that mimic recognized institutions to deceive users.
Ombudsman Dr. José Leonardo Gialluca met with representatives from the Professional Council of Surveyors of Formosa to address these concerns. Officials recommend that citizens verify the existence and physical location of institutions, check for official authorization from the Ministry of Culture and Education of Formosa, and confirm whether certificates actually permit professional practice before making any payments.
