Formosa provides food assistance to indigenous communities using provincial funds
The government of Formosa has distributed 2,169 food modules to indigenous communities across various regions of the province through its Provincial Food Program. This initiative is being funded by the Provincial Treasury following the national government's decision to discontinue federal programs and resources previously allocated for food and social assistance.
The distribution operation, led by Gabriel Alcaráz, Undersecretary of Community Development and Strengthening of the Ministry of the Community, targeted several rural areas including Las Lomitas, Bazán, Pozo del Tigre, Posta Cambio Zalazar, and locations along National Route 86 West. The program aims to support families facing significant difficulties due to the withdrawal of national resources.
