Formosa schools face investigation over political indoctrination claims

A controversy regarding political indoctrination in Formosa schools has emerged following a video showing a local educational delegate attributing the provision of school smocks to a “political decision of the governor.” This incident prompted the Ministry of Human Capital to request an investigation by provincial education authorities, citing a violation of the “principle of neutrality” in schools.

In response to these allegations, Adrián Muracciole, rector of the Universidad Provincial de Laguna Blanca (UPLaB), defended the delegate's statements, arguing that liberal ideologies have historically used public education for indoctrination. He criticized the teaching of a single economic model in universities as a form of systematic indoctrination.

Simultaneously, Manuel Pereira, general secretary of the Voz Docente union, has denounced the forced introduction of the “Formosa Model” into primary and secondary curricula. Pereira criticized the dismantling of competitive teacher career paths and alleged political pressure within schools in rural districts, contrasting his views with local labor leaders who have denied the existence of partisan interference.
