Formosa schools hold third Provincial Youth Parliament
More than 140 schools in the province of Formosa participated in the third edition of the Provincial Youth Parliament. The event, held at EPES Nº 27 in the capital city, brought together students and teachers from 19 zonal delegations to debate proposals regarding educational issues and the future of secondary schooling.
The provincial program was established following the elimination of the Mercosur Youth Parliament by the national government of Javier Milei. The initiative was proposed in 2024 by the Federation of Secondary Student Centers (FeCES) to Governor Gildo Insfrán, who accepted the proposal to create a space for youth dialogue and idea exchange.
Fernando Galarza, the provincial Director of Youth Affairs, noted that the session allowed students to elect parliamentary representatives through peer voting to discuss problems within their educational units so that actionable solutions can be implemented.
