Formosa students compete in NEA Mathematics Olympiad

A delegation of students from Formosa is traveling to Posadas, Misiones, to participate in the XVII NEA Regional Mathematics Olympiad. The competition, held from September 28 to 30, brings together participants from Corrientes, Chaco, Formosa, and Misiones.

Reports indicate that between 66 and 78 secondary students from various Formosan localities—including the capital, Palma Sola, Laguna Naineck, Laguna Blanca, Las Lomitas, Siete Palmas, and Clorinda—have qualified for this regional stage. The competition aims to develop mathematical problem-solving, critical thinking, reading comprehension, and argumentation skills.

Due to a lack of specific funding for travel and registration costs, a civil association was formed to collect voluntary contributions from families and teachers to support the delegation's participation.
