The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) has announced the 2026 UAT Book Fair, scheduled to take place from October 31 to November 8 at the UAT Olympic Gymnasium in Tampico. Under the leadership of Rector Dámaso Anaya Alvarado, the free event aims to promote reading, art, culture, and science within the community.

The fair will feature 22 national and international publishing houses, including Penguin Random House, Planeta, Fondo de Cultura Económica (FCE), Paidós, Trillas, Anagrama, Siglo XXI, Manual Moderno, and Panini. The program includes book presentations, conferences, workshops, and specialized areas for children and youth, featuring various authors and academics.

This edition seeks to build upon the success of previous years, which saw attendance exceeding 90,000 people, by offering a diverse catalog ranging from narrative and specialized research to children's literature.
