Formula 1 2026 calendar and Charles Leclerc personal news

The FIA has released the 2026 Formula 1 calendar, which features several notable changes. The season is set to begin in Melbourne with the Australian Grand Prix, followed by races in Shanghai and Suzuka. A significant change to the schedule is the removal of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. In its place, a new race will return to Madrid on a semi-permanent street circuit named ‘Madring’, titled the ‘Spanish Grand Prix’. The existing Barcelona race will continue but will transition to a rotation model with Spa-Francorchamps starting in 2027.

Separately, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has announced he will become a father. Despite the upcoming birth of his first child coinciding with a demanding late-season triple-header involving the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi, Leclerc stated he does not plan to miss any races. He intends to spend as much time at home as possible between events but remains committed to competing on Sundays.
