Formula 1 announces 2026 racing calendar

The FIA has released the 2026 Formula 1 racing calendar. The season is scheduled to begin in Melbourne with the Australian Grand Prix, followed by races in Shanghai and Suzuka.

Notable changes to the schedule include the removal of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. In its place, a race will return to Madrid on a new semi-permanent street circuit named ‘Madring’, titled the ‘Spanish Grand Prix’. The existing Barcelona Grand Prix will remain on the calendar, with the Barcelona race set to follow a rotation model with Spa-Francorchamps starting in 2027.

The early part of the 2026 schedule includes the Australian Grand Prix on March 8, the Chinese Grand Prix on March 15, and the Japanese Grand Prix on March 29.
