Sebastian Vettel documentary announced by ARD amid Formula 1 changes

The ARD is set to release a four-part documentary series titled ‘Being Sebastian Vettel’ starting October 22 in its media library. The series explores the life and career of the four-time Formula 1 World Champion, covering his journey from karting to his historic successes with Red Bull, Ferrari, and Aston Martin.

Through personal interviews and insights from family and colleagues—including Lewis Hamilton and Helmut Marko—the documentary examines the person behind the titles, his internal struggles with self-doubt, and his post-racing focus on environmental protection.

Separately, updates regarding the 2026 Formula 1 season indicate significant technical and structural changes. The season will feature 24 Grands Prix, the debut of Cadillac as an 11th team, and Audi replacing Sauber. Technical regulations will shift toward active aerodynamics and increased electrical power in V6 hybrid engines, while vehicles are expected to become smaller and lighter.
