Formula E driver market sees major shifts as Buemi departs Envision

Formula E is facing significant driver lineup shifts as the series transitions toward the Gen4 era. Envision Racing has announced that Sébastien Buemi will depart the team after a 12-year career in the category. Buemi noted that the decision was driven by scheduling conflicts between Formula E and the World Endurance Championship (WEC), as his contract with Toyota prioritizes WEC commitments.

In addition to Buemi, Joel Eriksson is also set to leave Envision Racing. The team is expected to refresh its lineup for the upcoming seasons.

Further speculation surrounds Oliver Rowland, who is reportedly looking to leave Nissan due to the team's recent performance struggles and internal personnel changes. Rowland is rumored to be in talks with several teams, with Envision or Penske cited as potential destinations. Other rumored driver movements include Maximilian Günther potentially joining Envision Racing, Mitch Evans moving to Opel, and Stoffel Vandoorne joining Jaguar TCS Racing.
