Formula E moves Monaco E-Prix to early May 2027 and extends Monaco partnership through 2031

The FIA and Formula E announced a modification to the 2026/27 season calendar, moving the Monaco E‑Prix from its originally planned 15‑16 May to 1‑2 May 2027. The change avoids a scheduling conflict with the World Endurance Championship round at Spa‑Francorchamps.

Alongside the date shift, the series confirmed an extension of its hosting agreement with the Automobile Club de Monaco, now secured through 2031. Alberto Longo, co‑founder and Chief Championship Officer of Formula E, said the Monaco circuit is unrivaled in motorsport and the new dates will help drivers competing in both Formula E and WEC manage a tighter schedule.

The 2026/27 championship will open in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in December 2026 and will feature a Mexico City E‑Prix in January, underscoring the series’ expanding global calendar.
