Formula Student Alpe Adria competition held in Croatia

The Formula Student Alpe Adria competition is currently underway at the Bugatti Rimac Test Track in Mičevac, Croatia. The event features 90 student teams from around the world showcasing innovations in automotive engineering and future vehicle technologies.

Local Croatian teams are prominently represented. The Split-based FESB Racing Team, which has transitioned from internal combustion engines to developing its first electric vehicle, includes members working on electronics and vehicle dynamics. The Rijeka-based Riteh Racing Team is participating as an alumni team, presenting an 80 kW electric single-seater weighing approximately 230 kilograms.

The competition serves as a significant platform for young engineers to test technical solutions in real-world conditions. Additionally, the event highlights a growing trend of female participation in motorsport, with increasing numbers of women involved in vehicle development, aerodynamics, and team organization.
