Fornebu ramps to close for bicycle bridge construction

Statens vegvesen has announced temporary closures of ramps at Fornebu due to construction work on a new bicycle bridge. From 21:00 on Friday, August 14, until 17:00 on Saturday, August 15, ramps from Fornebu toward Oslo and Lysaker will be closed to allow the final elements of the bridge to be lifted into place.

Traffic will be diverted via Ring 3 Smestad through the Granfosstunnelen, while the E18 remains open as usual. The bridge is part of the E18 Lysaker–Ramstadsletta project and will eventually form a major bicycle highway, though full use is not expected until 2029 or 2030.
