Gold exploration advances with high-grade hits in Australia and West Africa
Multiple mining companies have reported significant progress in gold exploration and resource expansion across Australia and West Africa.
In Western Australia, Auric Mining reported high-grade drill results at its Munda deposit, including a four-metre intercept at 10.49 g/t gold, supporting potential resource growth. Zenith Minerals struck gold in all six of its first assayed holes at the Dulcie gold project, aiming to link two key deposits. Forrestania Resources increased its British Hill gold resource by 21 per cent to 212,400 ounces, with a notable rise in high-confidence indicated resources. Additionally, Tambourah Metals has commenced diamond drilling at Beatty Park South to investigate depth extensions, while Kuniko Limited completed a drilling campaign at its Commonwealth-Silica Hill project in New South Wales ahead of a resource update.
In Côte d’Ivoire, Aurum Resources announced exceptional drill results at its Boundiali gold project, featuring a 1.3-metre core grading 155 g/t gold. These results are part of an expanded 150,000m drilling campaign intended to grow the project’s 3.22-million-ounce resource.
