Fort Berens Estate Winery achieves sustainable certification in B.C

Fort Berens Estate Winery, located in Lillooet, British Columbia, has achieved Sustainable Winegrowing B.C. certification. Following previous weather challenges, the winery reports that its 2025 vintage is essentially 100% VQA.

The local climate, characterized by long, hot, dry summers and cooler nights than the Okanagan region, assists in maintaining the acidity of the winery’s varietals, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Gruner Veltliner. The 2025 Gruner Veltliner is produced at the winery’s Red Rock Vineyard.
