Fort Hays State has been ranked tenth in the MIAA preseason women's soccer coaches poll. The team enters the upcoming season under the leadership of new head coach Alex Hagan.

Key returning players for the Tigers include forward Chaley French, the team's top scorer from the previous season, and Taylor Hill. The roster also features goalkeeper Hadley Ostrander, who recorded 55 saves last season. Fort Hays State is scheduled to begin regular season play on August 28 against William Jewell in Kearney, Nebraska.

In the preseason poll, Washburn secured the top position with 138 points, followed by Pittsburg State and Central Missouri. The top four teams in the rankings all participated in the NCAA Tournament last year.
