Fort Langley International Ukulele Festival attracts global delegates
The second annual Fort Langley International Ukulele Festival is set to take place in late September, attracting over 200 delegates for a series of workshops and concerts. Organized by the Langley Ukulele Association, the event has already sold out more than two months in advance.
The festival includes 36 workshops held over two days at the Salishan Place by the River cultural centre. In addition to the convention, the event features two ticketed concerts at the Chief Sepass Theatre that are open to the public.
Participants are traveling from diverse locations, including Poland, England, Hawaii, and various regions across North America, such as New York, Florida, and the Yukon. Founder Peter Luongo noted that the festival aims to highlight the Langley program's international reputation.
